Lobster cam in Halifax Harbour (Nova Scotia, Canada)
Info from the Lobster cam on the novascotiawebcams.com website:
This webcam has been set up as co-operation between Murphy’s On The Water and Nova Scotia Webcams.
Murphy’s maintains several lobster traps in Halifax Harbour and obtained a scientific lobster license from the Department of Fisheries and Ocean for educational purposes. Guests of Murphy’s Nature and Whale Watching Tours have the opportunity to experience minke whales, fin whales, dolphins, seals, tuna, sunfish, a variety of seabirds and - of course - lobster.
All lobster we catch in our webcam trap are kept for 3-4 days before they are released in the wild. They do not end in a pot with hot water. Lobster can survive in a lobster trap for a much longer time without being harmed in any way.
